More arguments for me to tackle made by Erano

"“I will raise up for them a prophet like you”– Here, God speaks to His prophet Mosesabout sending prophet like him (Moses). We all know that Moses is the prophet whom God had given His covenant.  Since God said that He will send a prophet like Moses, He means that will send another prophet who will enlighten us about the laws or the covenant that God gave Moses long ago. The prophet mentioned by God to Moses is the messenger of the covenant that God spoke about in Malachi 3:1!

“I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him." - This is why no Pastor, Apologist or Theologian can stand against him (Messenger) when he appears because it is God Himself who has commanded him to reveal this truth, (especially about Jesus),in the Bible!

The religious preachers’ understanding of the word of God is through their own study.  It is not God who sent them.  In the case of the prophet like Moses or Messenger of the covenant, it isGod who taught him and had sent him to make these revelations.

“If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophetspeaks in my name,”- This is the sign that it is God who had indeed taught Maestro Evangelista.  This is the revelation of the Name of God.

“I myself will call him to account.” - God will call into account those people who will not listen to His prophet like Moses on what His prophet speaks about His Name through the scriptures."
Any one can claim to be a prophet, but that doesn't make them a prophet. It doesn't matter if the prophet's miracles come true. If he is teaching false doctrine or leads man into false worship and false gods, he is not to be accepted as mentioned in Deuteronomy 13, A point I have stressed in some of my materials:

"Deuteronomy 13:1 [a]If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a sign or wonder, 2 and if the sign or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, “Let us follow other gods” (gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,” 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. 5 That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer tried to turn you from the way the Lord your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you.""

Point is, I can speak against Erano as much as I want and his dismissal is not a rebuttal, considering again, the onus of proof is ON HIM, NOT ME to prove he is a prophet.

We can read that Moses’ only mission is to take his people out of Egypt.  When he asked for permission to say the Name of God, Moses can only say “I AM”, if the Children of Israel asks him about the Name of God.

The reason why God said to Moses to say “I AM” when the Children of Israel asks him about the Name of God (instead of revealing His name directly) is that God had already made an oath to Himself (that the Jews may not invoke His Name as punishment for their false worship) when they were still in Egypt. The words “I AM” is not the Name but a key or clue for the Israelites to know the Name of God."

YHWH is the name of God, Erano has no theological or scholarly material to refute that assertion, All he has a "prophetic" musings. I AM isn't a name but is one of YHWH's titles. Watch Sam Shamoun's material on the I AM phrase:

"Does Moses know the Name of God?

Moses and Aaron were among his priests,
Samuel was among those who called on his name;

“Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who called on his name” - Moses truly knows the Name.  However, since he is a Jew (and because of what God said in Jeremiah 44:24-26), he was not allowed by God to mention His name directly to the people.

How do we know that the former prophets of God were not allowed by God to mention His Name directly to their fellow Jews?

The Sovereign LORD has sworn by himself-the LORD God Almighty declares: "I abhor the pride of Jacob and detest his fortresses; I will deliver up the city and everything in it." If ten men are left in one house, they too will die. 10 And if a relative who is to burn the bodies comes to carry them out of the house and asks anyone still hiding there, "Is anyone with you?" and he says, "No," then he will say, "Hush! We must not mention the name of the LORD."

“The Sovereign LORD has sworn by himself” – When God makes an oath - it will surely happen and the prophets should strictly abide by God’s word.

"I abhor the pride of Jacob and detest his fortresses; I will deliver up the city and everything in it." –because the Children of Jacob, the one whom God gave the name Israel, are found to be always disobedient to God and His laws

“We must not mention the name of the LORD.” - This proves that the former prophets, since they are Jews, cannot mention God’s name directly because of God’s oath."

Amos 6 is talking about Jacob's pride and YHWH bringing them down into exile as a result of disobedience, it has no connection to the oath made in Jeremiah 44.

God is going to bring destruction onto the people of Judah for their sin and send them away for a time, this doesn't mean they cannot utter God's name, that is rank eisegesis on the part of Erano.

Is it true that they never paid attention to what God said to them?

Walk in all the ways I command you that it may go well with you”. –When God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, they are not yet truly considered by God as His people because they still have to prove to God that they were faithful to His laws.  Once they have proven themselves to have obeyed God’s laws, then God will consider them as His people."

The Israelites are still God's chosen people regardless of their unbelief, but that doesn't mean they automatically have salvation, they only will have salvation if they come to faith in Jesus and be cleansed of their sins. While the Israelites may have abandoned God, that doesn't mean he has abandoned them and he shall thus restore them to greatness.

"How do we know that even though they were still in their sojourn in Egypt, the people of Israel angered God with their idol worship?

‘But they rebelled against me and would not listen to me; they did not get rid of the vile images they had set their eyes on, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. So I said I would pour out my wrath on them and spend my anger against them in Egypt. But for the sake of my name, I brought them out of Egypt. I did it to keep my name from being profaned in the eyes of the nations among whom they lived and in whose sight I had revealed myself to the Israelites.
Ezekiel 20:8-9 NIV

“nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. So I said I would pour out my wrath on them and spend my anger against them in Egypt.” - God confirms through His prophet Ezekiel that even during the time that the people of Israel were still in Egypt they were already worshiping false gods and goddesses.

This includes the worship of the queen of heaven that the prophet Jeremiah spoke of (Jeremiah 44:24-26).  They rebelled against Him even during their sojourn in Egypt. Since they did what they did, they were cursed by God that (Jews) may never mention His Name."

Need I repeat myself on the abuse of Jeremiah 44:24-26? Absolutely not so let us move on.

"Why did God do that to them

“‘I did it to keep my name from being profaned in the eyes of the nations among whom they lived’” – Just as God has kept His Name from being profaned by the nations, God also showed us how he kept His Name from being profaned by the idolatry of His own people by putting a curse that they may never invoke His name.

What is the use of telling His people His Name if they do not worship Him? God will only provide the opportunity for profaning His own name!

Why did God repeat the punishment that He rendered to the Israelites during their sojourn in Egypt in the time of the prophet Jeremiah?

15Whatever is has already been, and what will be has been before;
and God will call the past to account
Ecclesiastes 3:15 NIV

“Whatever is has already been” - When the Israelites in Jeremiah’s time repeated the same sins of worshiping other gods (just as their forefathers did during their sojourn in Egypt), God conferred the same punishment upon the Jews.

The Jews do not know the story because they were cursed by God that they may not invoke His Name.  Thus, the knowledge of the true Name of God was taken from their memory. Their non-knowledge is proof of how true God’s oath to Himself is.

The reason why we are now aware of this is that the promised prophet of God(whom He had sent to speak in His Name) or His real messenger of the Covenant has now come in our present era."

NOT EVERY SINGLE JEW WAS CURSED IN JEREMIAH 44, ONLY THOSE IN EGYPT!!, How many times must I repeat myself OVER AND OVER. AND AGAIN, the reason the Jews don't pronounce God's name is OUT OF RESPECT, NOT SOME PAST CURSE PLACED ON A GROUP OF JEWS.

Erano again begs the question, he claims to be the prophet like Moses and claims to be unassailable just simply because of his own musings. Plus I have already dealt with Malachi 3 in this article here:

“because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son” - Instead of making known the Name of God to his people so that God may finally forgive them, he preaches that they should worship his name, thus portraying himself as a god!

This is why Jesus is not the Messenger of the covenant in Malachi 3:1-2 because he never made known the Name of God, but rather made the people disregard it."

One, Jesus called people back to the Father in heaven. Two, The Father Mark 9:7 said "This is my beloved son, LISTEN TO HIM.". Three, Jesus is YHWH though he is not the Father in heaven.

A question to KeithTruth: Arminianism

KeithTruth's ministry has been of great benefit, especially since I have quoted his material in my papers and overall his points refuting Catholicism, Pelagianism and Semi-Pelagian belief has been of great help. His videos responding to Pelagian heretics such as Kerrigan Skelly and Jesse Morrel on claims they have made about Calvinism has been beneficial, as well as his large documentary on Roman Catholicism.

However I do have some disagreements with him and pose a few challenges to him with respect to some of the claims he has made regarding Arminian doctrine, especially in a discussion he and I had back in May 2014.

Keith Thompson Catholics and Arminians both believe God gives everyone the initial grace or ability to become right with God. Yet, most men reject this grace so it is insufficient. Doesn't matter if Arminians admit this by saying grace is insufficient. Their system makes it insufficient. In biblical theology, God's grace does its job. Whenever God gives it for salvation, the person is saved. : )

Not to sound disrespectful but the assertion that Keith made that Arminianism denies graces or says is insufficient is ridiculous.

I have even asked him what Arminian author says that grace is insufficient and he didn't provide one, that is my first question. Keith, WHICH ARMINIAN AUTHOR, or even where does Armininus himself says that grace is insufficient, even subtle. If you cannot provide a single author that says such, you are either being disingenuous and are misrepresenting us or display ignorance. I may sound harsh by saying this but this is a serious matter.

Another absurd claim is that rejected grace is insufficient grace. This I find this assertion to be nonsensical and stupid. If someone rejects God's grace, it's their own damn fault. Besides, unregenerate man, wrecked by original sin, rejects his grace continually and only accept it once they have been convicted by the Spirit and drawn by the Father. For rejecting his grace God hands a man over to his sin. This is not insufficient grace in slightest.

Thirdly, it is an insult and offensive to compare Arminian theologians to Roman Catholic, Pelagian and Semi-Pelagian Heretics. To lump Arminians into the same category as these heretics, I find to be reprehensible. I find the teachings of Kerrigan Skelly and Jesse Morrell on the issues Keith brought to light to be repugnant, both those men are teaching things they shouldn't, like a denial of original sin, works salvation and also open theism that Morrell holds to. While they may have a concern for holiness, This wouldn't justify their heresy, as Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses also proclaim holiness yet hold to abhorrent beliefs. Plus, I also find Roman Catholicism to be an abomination and your documentary demonstrates that quite forcefully, may God bless you Keith for exposing it.

The point is, many Calvinists would not like to be placed in the same category has hyper-Calvinistic heretics, so kindly return the favour when you address Arminianism. Don't lump Arminians with the heretics I mentioned.

Refuting Erano the false prophet on Malachi 3

This separate article tackles the misuse of Malachi 3 by Erano.
"There is hope. God will show us the way out of the evil culture such as corruption and injustice that we are now experiencing.

How will God lead mankind out of the sufferings that is being experienced today?

"See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come," says the LORD Almighty.                                          
Malachi 3:1 NIV
                                
“the messenger of the covenant”- God will send a messenger of His covenant. God will send a person who will enlighten humanity about His laws that was before given to His prophet Moses. With the enlightenment, they may implement God’s laws correctly and therefore end the evil caused by Jesus when he overturned the laws of God.
                    
“Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking” - This is the real righteous God that the whole world is seeking.

“Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come," says the LORD Almighty.”– “Suddenly” because all this time the whole world was made to believe (by the religions) that God’s message to humanity ended with Jesus; that no other individual will be sent by God anymore.  When the revelations are read with an open and careful mind, the elucidation of (the prophet like Moses), Maestro Evangelista in (insert Erano's websites here),they are taken aback when they suddenly realize the truth about God! 

The coming of the messenger of the covenant (who will give us true understanding regarding God’s laws), clarifies that God is now showing us the way out of the evil that is happening in our world today."

The messenger appears to the Israelites specifically and will turn people back to the Father in heaven, He has to deal with the Israelites before bringing to world to him. There is NOTHING about Jesus over turning the laws of God in the context at all.

"“Like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap” – for the first time we will understand why he was also referred to as such, let us read in:

This third I will bring into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold.
They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, 'They are my people,'
and they will say, 'The LORD is our God.' "
Zechariah 13:9 (NIV)

Those who will read and heed the revelations of the "Messenger" will know the True and Great Name of God. They are the ones who will be refined as if with fire. They are also the people who will call on the Name of God and God will acknowledge them as His People.

This has now been fulfilled by Teacher Evangelista in www.thename.ph and www.thenameonline.info.

This is why he is called “Messenger of the covenant” because he will reveal the Name of God that was not fully known even during the time of Moses. Any covenant or Law without the name of the one who made it is not binding and has no effect.  Since he will reveal the Name of God, he is fully establishing the covenant that God gave through Moses before.

Who is this Messenger of the covenant whom God will also send to reveal His true Name and who will enlighten all of us about the laws and statutes that He gave His prophet Moses?"

The messenger doesn't reveal God's name, the Israelites already knew the name of YHWH, EVEN at Mount Sinai and what Zechariah 13 speaks on is addressed here:

Also, The application of Malachi 3 in a Biblical context is essentially this, which I make clear in my article Contra Blumenthal:
"Malachi 3:1-4
"3 “I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty.

2 But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. 3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, 4 and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the Lord, as in days gone by, as in former years."

The NT interprets the first verse as a reference to John the Baptist paving the way for Yeshua or Jesus. As for the subject of the Levites being refined, John the Baptist cleanses the Levites by baptising them in the river Jordan, thus getting them ready for the Kingdom of Heaven. The sacrifices of the Levites afterwards are also pleasing to God as a result of this. In the Millennial Reign of Christ when the Temple stands once more in Jerusalem, the offerings given within the context of Malachi will pleasing to the LORD as in the former times of Judah. While the NT makes it clear that the Law is fulfilled in Christ, there isn't anything to suggest that the temple, even temporarily, will not be re-established in the end of days for a holy purpose."

More points to address made by Erano. Enough said.
""What more can David say to you?" – When David speaks with God, he refers to himself in the third person; indirectly, is how David humbles himself in the presence of God.  David was a shepherd who became a king because of God.  Humility is a sign of great respect.

So, Maestro Evangelista says, when David said "The LORD says to my Lord..." it was David speaking indirectly of himself in the passage, not that David was referring to another, which Jesus claimed was the "son of God," as himself, in the passage.

Let us read again concerning Jesus' claim…

He said to them, "How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit,
calls him 'Lord'? For he says, " 'The Lord said to my Lord:
"Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet." '
Matthew 22:43-44 (NIV)"

I won't dispute that Psalm 110 can refer to David's own lordship, but it is not limited to his own lordship and can refer to Jesus being the Lord whom the Father says to sit at his right hand until his enemies are made a footstool. Again Jesus wasn't making a point about being the Son of God in the passage.

""'The Lord said to my Lord”-It was David himself conversing with God. Jesus was wrong in saying that he is the “lord “mentioned by David."

Says the false prophet whose exegesis has more holes than swiss cheese. It can refer to God speaking to David but it wouldn't detract from speaking about Jesus in the Messianic Application.

"Reading again Psalm 110:1-

The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet."
Psalm 110:1 (NIV)

If David was referring to himself in this Psalm then it follows that he is the one whose enemies were put by God under his feet:

This time it will be King David’s son, Solomon who will reveal:

Solomon sent back this message to Hiram:

"You know that because of the wars waged against my father David from all sides,
he could not build a temple for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD put
his enemies under his feet.
1 Kings 5:2-3 (NIV)

It was David’s enemies that were placed under his feet, not Jesus' feet.  In Jesus' case, it was the other way around; he was placed under the feet of his enemies.  Finally, the question that remained unanswered for the past 2000 years have been answered! We now know this because God is the one who showed such truths to Teacher Evangelista (in the scriptures) and had sent him to be His prophet like Moses."

The enemies being put under David's feet or anyone's feet is not a reference to Jesus being put under the feet of anyone. Jesus didn't die as a result of his own sins, he had NO sins, as pointed out already in previous articles. This is the economic crisis that the world is experiencing now. There is scarcity of goods and service, jobs, escalating sovereign debts and all the leaders of the world are doing what they can to prevent this crisis from getting worse. Jesus brought these because the institutions who preach his teachings have PLUNDERED HUMANITY.

Everyone lies in wait to shed blood; they hunt each other with nets.

All (those we know) who governed well have died either from accidents or from killings. It is also a time where people in high offices discredit each other for the sake of power."

Micah is not talking about Jesus brining desolation upon the world via Satanic teaching, He is speaking of events transpiring in Israel:

The land is utterly ruined by immorality and Micah is warning the people that if they do not repent of their evil ways, God will hand them over to their evil desires and judge them accordingly. "How did Jesus promote evil in the world?

Let us clarify what God decreed in His law:

You must purge the evil from among you. The rest of the people will hear of this and be afraid, and never again will such an evil thing be done among you. Show no pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

“You must purge the evil from among you. .. “Show no pity” - because the evil person never felt pity for the evil he had committed against his fellow man.  That is why we should show no pity to him once judgment and punishment has been handed out. Once this law is applied, people will be afraid of committing such evil deeds ever again.

Did he (Jesus) not know this Commandment?

"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.'
Matthew 5:38 (NIV)

He knows about this commandment.  What will he teach men about it?  Did he uphold the Law?

But I tell you, do not resist an evil person.
If someone strikes you on the right cheek,
turn to him the other also.
Matthew 5:39 (NIV)

He (Jesus) openly defied the Law!  He had broken the commandment; went against it and taught it to the people. He taught the people not to resist evil and the oppressors.Thisis another proof of Jesus worshiping Satan as he overturned God’s commandment about punishing evil!
This is one of the reasons why evil is proliferating in this world!  Jesus went against God’s teaching and command"

"What does the commandment concerning “eye for eye, tooth for tooth” really mean?

The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness,

To the faithful you show yourself faithful,-This is the teaching that God wants us to observe in our daily lives, so that we may not be oppressed and exploited.  We should do to them what they intend to do to us, so that they may know that we will not tolerate their wrongdoings. This is the righteousness that God wants to be established here on earth. "

The context has David singing his praises to YHWH of preserving him after demonstrating loyalty to him, He is not speaking about what "eye for eye, tooth for tooth" actually means.

"Let us go back to Micah 7:3 to read more of what Jesus brought into the world.

Both hands are skilled in doing evil; the ruler demands gifts, the judge accepts bribes, the powerful dictate what they desire - they all conspire together.

It is a time of corruption and the leaders of the institutions that people trust to uphold law and order are the first ones to break it because of their greed for money. Much worse, is that all these powerful people conspire with each other to implement their agenda to dominate and control the lives of the people for their own personal gain. This is now happening in our time.

The day God visits you has come, the day your watchmen sound the alarm.
Now is the time of your confusion.

“The best of them is like a brier, the most upright worse than a thorn hedge.”-There will be situations when the leaders, that people believed to be the best and upright who can save them from their economic woes and injustice, are even worse than a thorn hedge.  Instead of healing,they add more wounds to their people.

“The day God visits you has come, the day your watchmen sound the alarm.” -  We can also read here that their evil plans will be for naught as God will not allow it. God will send people who will put an end to it. These are the people who will assist His coming prophet.  We are now witnessing it happen in our time!"

The fact that Erano quotes Micah in the first place shoots his thesis that Jesus is responsible for brining evil into the world and I have already pointed out that Micah is calling for the repentance of his people. Jesus told us of the increase of immorality amongst other thing in Matthew 24, Luke 13 and Luke 21 but he is not responsible for the evil that takes place in the world.

It is a time of distrust. What is the key towards understanding thecause of the lawlessness.

Who caused the lawlessness foretold in the prophecy?

“I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to undergo, and what constraint I am under until it is completed! Do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but division. From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other, three against two and two against three. They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.”

“They will be divided, father against son and son against father,” - it was Jesus who caused this division and thus the promoter of evil and lawlessness. Therefore, he truly accepted the offer of Satan and became his offspring or agent in deceiving humanity.

Is there hope for us that God will end the reign of evil and lawlessness caused by Satan and Jesus?

But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord,
I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.

There is hope. God will show us the way out of the evil culture such as corruption and injustice that we are now experiencing."

Furthermore, the apostles, DISCIPLES OF JESUS, taught that children should honour and must honour their parents, reiterating one of the moral commands that is carried over into the NT.

"6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”[a]

Response to Erano: A look at the END OF LAWLESSNESS AND EVIL

More arguments once again we'll be dealing with more articles being written by the infamous yet not well known false prophet Maestro M. Erano Evangelista. Let as continue.

Firstly, the subject of 2 Samuel 7:14, Jesus being the Son of God, the identity of the Comforter, Who Jesus is in the book of Revelation are already addressed in these articles here:

However one of the objections I need to cover here is as to the supposed conspiracy that the disciples stole the body, a very common argument that has often been made.

"-That to hide this truth, his body was stolen by his apostles, who made false writings about him to make it appear that he resurrected from the dead.  Worse, they twisted God’s words in the prophecy to make it also appear that Jesus ‘brutal death was God’s sacrifice (of His only begotten son) to save mankind from its sins’. Thus, perpetrating the greatest deception of humanity!"

This common falsehood is not anything new and has been an objection that has been refuted over and over again. Even Matthew records this falsehood being perpetuated by many.
"Matthew 28:11 While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. 12 When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, 13 telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ 14 If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” 15 So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day."

The problem with the objection is that for what reason would the disciples ever lie about the resurrection of Jesus? The disciples were terrified after Jesus' death, but when they saw him, they proclaimed his death and resurrection with a courageous streak. What changed men who were abject cowards into brave spiritual warriors? and no hallucinations do not do decent justice to the passage itself.

""For it is written" - since Jesus answered the Devil using passages in the Holy Bible (Luke 4:3, Luke 4:8) the Devil, in turn, used passages to challenge him… what was Jesus’ answer?

Jesus answered, "It says: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' "

Why did Jesus answer him in this manner?  Was the passage used by the Devil written in the Holy Bible?

For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.' "
Psalm 91:10-11 (NIV)

True, but what is written here is different from what the Devil was saying to him.  The Devil said “throw yourself down...,” meaning to fall intentionally.  In the passage, he will be saved from falling “that you will not strike your foot against a stone” – which means, if he accidentally stumbles.  The Devil was saying differently from what was written in the Holy Bible.  This is the secret of temptation or deception – to say or mean what is different from what is written.

To learn if Jesus did not make us worship the devil (Satan) and disobey God, he should not imitate the way Satan (devil) explains the scriptures."

And the fact that Jesus overcame Satan's temptation proves all the more that he wasn't mislead by the devil or taken into worshipping him. Both War On Truth or War on Error as I call him and Erano and others don't take this into consideration.

"Let us read the following:

While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
"What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?"
"The son of David," they replied.
Matthew 22:41-42 (NIV)                  

All knew that the coming Christ or “Anointed” will come from the house of David and that the descendant was to be called the "son of David."

He said to them, "How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit,
calls him 'Lord'? For he says, " 'The Lord said to my Lord:
"Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet." '

Jesus cited a Psalm of David and claims that in the Psalm, King David speaks about him

If then David calls him 'Lord,' how can he be his son?"

The Pharisees were caught in Jesus’ trap, and were not able to refute him.  It is from this instance that Jesus was making them believe that David mentioned him in his songs, that he is a “son of God.”

No one could say a word in reply, and from that day on
no one dared to ask him any more questions.

No one answered him, because during his time, it was only Jesus who knew about the prophecy, and the true teachings.  He should have explained it to his people; it was his mission.  However, he had used it for his own personal advantage, since he didn’t want to be called the "son of David," but wanted to be the "son of God.""

Jesus whole point about using Psalm 110 was to show that the Messiah was David's Lord and that he (Jesus) was the Messiah of the Jews. He was not denying anything about being called the Son of David or Son of God, because BOTH were true. Besides being the Son of God wasn't relevant to the point that Jesus was making in the first place.

"No one was able to answer Jesus' question, but Maestro Evangelista says, that was during his time.

However the one who made David write the Psalms was God Himself and God is the one who showed Maestro Evangelista who is the “lord “mentioned by David in the said Psalm. See for yourself if Jesus was right in saying that he is the “lord” mentioned by David

When Jesus asked them regarding the passage “The LORD said unto my Lord,” is it really written in the Holy Bible?

The LORD says to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet."
Psalm 110:1 (NIV)

It is written, that is why no one, in his time, had the courage and the understanding to refute him. 

Now read what God showed to Maestro Evangelista about who is the lord mentioned by David

Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge.
I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing."
Psalm 16:1-2 (NIV)

Again in another version, in the King James Version, it also written:

Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.
O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord:
my goodness extendeth not to thee;
Psalm 16:1-2 (King James Version)

“O my soul” – It is specifically mentioned here that David was speaking of himself when he talked to God and said "You are my Lord..."

David did speak about it, and the reason why David called himself “Lord” when he speaks with the LORD God, is that he was also a king and therefore respects the authority given to him by God as a king over His people Israel!

Is it really true that David refers to himself in this manner when he speaks to God?

Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said:
"Who am I, O Sovereign LORD, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?  And as if this were not enough in your sight, O Sovereign LORD, you have also spoken about the future of the house of your servant. Is this your usual way of dealing with man, O Sovereign LORD?
"What more can David say to you?  For you know your servant, O Sovereign LORD.
II Samuel 7:18-20 (NIV)

"What more can David say to you?" – When David speaks with God, he refers to himself in the third person; indirectly, is how David humbles himself in the presence of God.  David was a shepherd who became a king because of God.  Humility is a sign of great respect.

So, Maestro Evangelista says, when David said "The LORD says to my Lord..." it was David speaking indirectly of himself in the passage, not that David was referring to another, which Jesus claimed was the "son of God," as himself, in the passage."

I won't dispute that Psalm 110 can refer to David's own lordship, but it is not limited to his own lordship and can refer to Jesus being the Lord whom the Father says to sit at his right hand until his enemies are made a footstool. Again Jesus wasn't making a point about being the Son of God in the passage.

Apologies to Joel Olstein

Two years ago, before beginning this website, I was confronted by a Jewish fellow by the name of Joel Olstein in the Answering Christianity room. At the time I was... sloppy at best.

When I went into a room against Islam, I invited Joel over so we could tackle an argument about the Passover and he was dotted at one stage. He left the room and I called him back to the room by saying "Don't you want to save your Messianic brothers?". This was used as a means to call him back because one individual was a Messianic Jew and this was used as a tether to pull him back in the room so the discussion could occur (Though it didn't happen as I had hoped, he was dotted a little later.).

My apologies for doing this two years ago Joel and I will not do this to you again.

Comments on Bryan Singer and the X-Men

People who know me, know I have a keen interest in comic books, namely Marvel specifically. I myself consider Spider-Man to be my favourite character.

The live action films of Marvel I have seen would include not only The Amazing Spiderman Films and the Sam Raimi trilogy but also the list includes the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the X Men Franchise.

I have even been in the process of writing my own comic book series and not just writing articles and other things.

However, this article is not speaking on my likes and dislikes of these movies or promoting my comic, as a different blog will be needed for that and this isn't the blog for such a purpose.

While I thought X Men Days of Future Past was the only one of the films that I thought to be very good rather than good or average, there is one thing that bothers me about Bryan Singer, a supposed attempt to promote a homosexual agenda under the guise of these films.

There is a video I have yet to see on YouTube called X Men and the Gay Agenda, which claims that Singer is promoting the homosexual life and pushing through it via allegory. 

If Singer is using the X Men Franchise for this nefarious purpose, that is truly evil and detestable and I see this as a stain on otherwise decent films.

This to me is tremendous disrespect to a comic book franchise that has captivated audiences for 50 years and may have inspired young people to do a comic book series of their own.

X Men as a set of films should not be used as a means of promoting a sin which the Bible tells us to renounce and avoid. 

One could use X Men as a means to highlight the ills of persecution and hatred of others that are different to you and it certainly does do that. For Example, Magneto's extreme prejudice towards mankind for the death of his mother and his mutant brothers and sisters, whereas Xavier is trying to establish a unity between mankind and humans and believes that there is a kinship to share. But using the films as a cover to justify homosexual sin or other sins sexual or otherwise, is beyond reprehensible and Singer should be ashamed.

The X Men films are films based of a comic book franchise and should be treated as such, not treated as tools to forward evil goals.

The only thing that can be done is pray for Bryan Singer to reconsider, change his attitude and be converted.
